My family participated in a spectacular "Monuments by Moonlight" tour in Washington, D.C. this week. Not only was the view breathtakingly beautiful, but our tour guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and kind. Most of our time on the trolley was with Honest Abe and he was top notch. He had a lot of good information, fun stories and handled off-the-wall questions with diplomacy and good humor. I have had the opportunity to do many Old Town Trolley Tours and it is always my first choice. My grandchildren were visiting from Florida last week and I took them to DC for the tour. It was so enjoyable we would not get off the trolley. Our driver was Clayton, he is an expert on American history. He is to be commended for the expertise he displays in his commentary, we were all a captive audience. It was so refreshing to find someone that can make you feel pride in being an American. Some friends and I toured DC. I'm really not into tours but went along with the group. Now I'm singing the praises to anyone going to the DC area. The tour was great and well worth the cost.
